Chris Hall, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor   VA License#0701014294

I bring a unique blend of sensitivity, compassion, and expertise in my role as a counselor, to create a safe and supportive environment for clients.  Bringing a calm presence helps to invite clients of all ages - children, adolscents and adults- to tackle challenges head-on.

My approach is grounded in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and strength-based, practical problem-solving techniques. Marriage and relationship counseling approaches are centered on Gottman methods, in addition to variety of other counseling theoretical approaches the meet the client's needs.

My academic and professional journey is a testament to my continued dedication to my clients through a commitment towards furthering knowledge and expertise.   I hold a Masters of Science degree in Education, majoring in clinical mental health counseling, and a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Services, both from Old Dominion University (ODU).  During my academic terms, I completed internships at an outpatient facility, providing invaluable services in domestic violence-batterer interventions and substance abuse counseling.  Coupling my academic skills with my role as a Stephens Minister, further contributes to my proficiencies with providing support for those suffering with depression, anxiety, grief, and loss
