Kayla MacPherson
Master of Social Work Student Intern
Hi, I’m Kayla, a second year MSW student at the University of Denver, working under a licensed clinical supervisor. I am beyond grateful to have the opportunity to get to know you. Through watching you blossom within hardship or strengthening your roots through all seasons, it will be an honor to be present.
I hope to create a space that is filled with trust, understanding, and compassion as we follow your needs. The beauty of growth is that it lies within yourself, sometimes you just need a hand to help hold the flashlight.
Each client is unique and each approach deserves to be catered towards your lived experiences. I operate from a multi-theoretical orientation as I feel each human experience is different and deserves to be treated as such. I like to pull from CBT, psychotherapy, and person-centered theories. We will work together to see what resonates best with you and your goals.
I hope to help those struggling with eating disorders and trauma as well as navigating depression and anxiety related symptoms. I am open to working with all age populations, but have a great interest in children and adolescents.
Currently accepting reduced rate self-pay clients.
