Gregory Peoples

Social Work Student Intern

I am an MSW graduate student at Capella University. I hold a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership from Bluefield College. My journey in social work is driven by a passion for empathy and empowerment.

I’ve focused on developing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) skills during my studies. My internship provides me a valuable hands-on experience, allowing me to apply these techniques and support individuals in overcoming their challenges.

I believe in a holistic approach to social work, addressing the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of those I serve. I aim to help people become their best versions, fostering transformation and stability. Thank you for learning about my journey. I’m committed to making a positive impact and empowering you to thrive.

Past experiences do not define you; healing is possible, and I am committed to guiding individuals on their journey to recovery. I prioritize clear communication and work hard to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where trust and collaboration can flourish. My passion lies in advocating for and supporting those who have faced adversity, including survivors of abuse, intimate partner violence, and human trafficking. I am dedicated to working with both children and adults, offering a holistic approach to healing and empowering clients to regain control over their lives.
